These two are getting married this weekend! I am excited for so many reasons: 1.they are awesome 2.the wedding is at folly beach, which is my favorite place on Earth. 3. I get to take pictures of them. 4.My husband is making drinks and bartending GANDYCO.
They had an engagement party a few weeks ago, and I loved the casino night theme!
What a gal! We had such a good time running around James Island and doing yoga!
I love bridal portraits! The only drawback is that I cannot show everybody until after the wedding. Amanda was a beautiful bride, and we had such a good time. 
Historically I am not too good at keeping plants alive and healthy, but this year is different! We have a new place, with a fabulous backyard, and I cannot wait for Summer veggies!! I’m starting with good soil, and sprouting seeds myself (well, I need a lot of help from Tripp). We are making raised beds called Hugelkulturs, and I think it will really help us get a lot from a little bit of land. Right now our Collards are doing well, and the strawberries I rescued are coming back nice and strong. I think I can do this! Here is some progress, and I will post more as things happen. I love watching my little sprouts grow leaves, but I will spare you the day-to-day growth.

I am so excited for Amanda! She has been a great friend of mine for years, and this weekend she will marry the man of her dreams! 
January is always slow for photos, but that dosen’t mean I’ve stopped working. I like the slow season because I have time to be creative in other areas of my life. I’ve been cooking vegetables, knitting, sewing, hula hooping and practicing yoga and calligraphy. Its kind of a lot when I sit back and look at it, but there is still so much I want to do! I’m very excited about the busy season this year. I am working with couples that I really like, and I am really trying to challenge myself and grow. I know I should hate instagram on principal because I am a photographer, but I don’t. I really like that it encourages people to take more photos. Blythe and I have been friends since we were just kids. She is one of the best people you will ever meet, and certainly one of the best friends I could ask for. I love her sweet husband Jason, and her wonderful son Ezra. It was so good to see the whole family and have some fun in the park. I don’t think I have seen Ms. Gin in 8 years, and she practically raised me! 
I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with these lovely folks a few weeks ago. Cary Ann and Michael Trent are some of the coolest people I know. I was a little star-struck while taking their pictures, bc I love them so much. I took pictures of Michael about 6 years ago for Charleston Magazine, he was just getting started. I am so glad to see these guys out touring. Really living the dream, you know?! Because “It ain’t what you got, its what you make.”
